Assignment 1 Module 4

Throughout this class I have found that I have a lot in common with my colleagues and the views we share on education, attachment, brain development and nurturing children. I am looking forward to growing and learning from them throughout this journey.

Some questions that arise after reading some post are:
·         How can we adequately prepare students for the future?
·         How can we teach students to be life-long leaners?
·         What can teachers do to help parents become more involved into their child’s education?
·         How can we help parents to educate parents about proper brain development?

Some topics that I would like to further explore are:
·         Family Cultures
·         Attachment theories
·         Brain development
·         How poverty affects academic achievement

Some additional resources based on my colleagues post are:

As I continue through my journey, I hope to keep in contact with my colleagues. Hopefully, we can keep in contact through email, social media, and phone calls. I know that I may have classes with the colleagues in this class and I hope to continue to share ideas and collaborate. I think it is important that in order to be the change we talk about then we must continue to educate ourselves and others in the educational community.  I think it is important to collaborate and share ideas and information as much as possible in order to promote our visions. I think that it is especially important that we create shared language of learning in our community to educate all those involved in community.
